Larsen Bay Lodge
Kodiak Island is located 160
miles southwest of Anchorage, just an hour and 30
minutes by turbine Otter direct to Larsen Bay. The
deluxe beachfront accommodations include 2 lodges and 4
private cabins. Many of the rooms have incredible bay
views. The main lodge has a dining area with a beautiful
stone fireplace, satellite TV and pool table. Suites and
cabins have queen size beds, private bathrooms and
decks. The food service is exquisite with new entrees
featured daily.
Wet your line on the Red and Karluk Rivers, or fly-out
to the Browns, Zachar & Spiridon Rivers. The Karluk is
known around the world for its legendary Silver Salmon
and outstanding Steelhead. The Karluk River is one of
the most exciting trips offered on the island. River
rafting the Karluk offers an excellent opportunity to
access several prime fishing holes in the same day
Angling options at different times of the seasons
include, but are not limited to, Kings that are
perfectly-sized for a fly rod, immense runs of Sockeyes
that are available all summer, jumbo-sized Silvers -
many that are 20 pounds or larger, spectacular
Steelhead, world-class Halibut, rock fish and troll
caught Salmon. Ask us about the fresh crab available.
Larsen Bay Lodge offers many additional sporting
opportunities in addition to the fishing. Supreme
Waterfowling can be added to your Steelhead trip or try
your shooting skills at Wingshooting the very popular
and widely abundant upland game bird, the Willow
Ptarmigan.
If you are interested in big-game, Kodiak has a huge
population of Sitka Black-Tail deer. With the use of
Larsen Bay's float planes, you will be taken to one of
the high elevation lakes, therefore avoiding the
strenuous hikes up and down the mountains in search of
your trophy. |
