Mission Lodge The luxurious Mission Lodge is located on the shores of Lake Aleknagik in the heart of the world-famous Bristol Bay region of Southwest Alaska. This area offers unsurpassed trophy fishing for salmon and trout in a spectacular wilderness setting. Aleknagik Mission Lodge is uniquely equipped to fly into remote areas by both float plane and specially equipped wheel planes. During your week long stay adventurous anglers are encouraged to spend a day floating on one of the famous trout streams in the region and to rotate through the remote outpost camps on the banks of superb fishing waters. Hook into trophy sized rainbows or Arctic char. Test your fly fishing skills on Arctic grayling in the clear cold streams. Twenty to forty pound king salmon return in June, with lunkers to fifty pounds not uncommon. In July, waters teem with sockeye, chum, and humpback salmon. Starting in August running through October, the acrobatic silvers provide spectacular days of fishing. Hook these dandies and the line will smoke off your reel, as the fish erupts from the water.
