No See Um Lodge
No See Um Lodge is in the
heart of the Iliamma Trophy Trout Area. The beautiful
cedar lodge sits high on a remote bank of the Kvichak
River. Guests are transferred from King Salmon to the
lodge by float plane.
This is one of our favorite "big rainbow" destinations.
The shallow, crystal clear water is easily waded and
makes fishing a visual experience. Adding to the
experience, moose, caribou, bears, and bald eagles
provide the angler or camera enthusiast with subjects in
some of the most beautiful and scenic wilderness in the
world.
The lodge offers the ultimate fishing experience for
small groups. The cedar log guest house offers spacious
rooms, a comfortable lounge with fireplace, and a hot
tub spa to relax tired muscles. Delicious meals are
served in the dining room, and guests may plan the next
day's fishing while tying flies. The sauna is also a
favorite place to relax.
The guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and their
instructional expertise will insure that you have a
successful trip.
For any angler in pursuit of trophy rainbow trout,
arctic char, dolly varden, arctic grayling and Pacific
salmon. The daily fly-outs to the best producing streams
in Katmai National Park, Tikchik Lakes and Iliamna Lake
provide a wide variety of fishing opportunities.
Consider a two-day trips as a popular way to fish
otherwise unreachable waters.
The fishing day begins with a hearty breakfast. Fishing
parties then assemble at the aircraft and depart for the
day. A short flight will put you on one of the many fine
streams in the area. A shore lunch will be prepared by
your guide, and the return trip to the lodge is around
5:00 pm. The evening is spent enjoying dinner, with time
to relax in the hot tub or sauna and have a cocktail.
Your hosts, Jack and Sue Holman have a reputation for
pampering their guests and are anxious for your trip to
Alaska to be "the trip of a lifetime". Their willingness
to provide for their guest has put the No See Um Lodge
