Cinco Rios Chile
On the banks of the Rio Simpson is a
beautiful new lodge, catering in comfort to only 8
anglers per week. One of South America’s most
established fishing programs, Cinco Rios Chile became
part of an American based partnership in 1998. These
partners are the same folks who own and operate the
highly respected Five Rivers Lodge in Montana. This
partnership gives access to the talents and resources of
one of America’s finest lodges, including their stable
of expert American guides.
The fishing here is spectacular. Wild Brown and Rainbow
trout are found in a variety of river and stillwater
environments that give the angler plenty of choices. The
region is characterized by a series of deep lakes,
connected by swift rivers. The rivers are fished using
drift boats or whitewater rafts for transportation,
skillfully piloted by seasoned guide staff. This year,
Cinco Rios Lodge has purchased all brand new equipment
including the first jet boats in the area, providing
access to waters that have never been fished before. The
guides are a mix of experienced Chileans and seasoned
Montanans.
The river fishing yields trout that average 16-22
inches, with some much larger fish taken. If you choose
to fish in stillwater, you will find trout measured in
pounds, rather than inches. |
