Gunnison River Expeditions is the most experienced anglers and fly fishing outfitters in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison Gorge. GRE in Colorado was established in 1985 and is recognized as the largest, most experienced Gunnison River fly fishing outfitter.
Fly fishing the Gunnison Gorge is world renowned among fly fishing enthusiasts. Gunnison River Expeditions specializes in running wade and float fishing trips in this Gold Medal designated trout fishery.

Itinerary
The Gunnison Gorge section of The Black Canyon is rated class III-IV. Life jackets are required, provided and worn at all times while in the rafts.

Accommodations
The North Rim Fishing and Hunting Lodge in Hotchiss, Colorado can fully accommodate your stay before, during or after your Gunnison River fishing, hunting or rafting experience. The 3,000 sq ft. lodge offers six private bedrooms, four baths, a dining room and a living room. Fantastic views overlook the Smith Fork Canyon and the West Elk Mountains.
Other Activities
Cast and Blast trips
Hunting chukar, ducks, quail and geese combined with excellent fishing is a full day for any outdoorsman. The Travel Center can customize these trips depending upon hunting seasons. Please call for details.
Guided Upland Hunting and Duck Hunting
The North Rim Hunt Club offers upland hunting and waterfowl hunting from September 1st through March 31st. Guides have access to hundreds of acres of first rate cover for a mixed bag of quail, pheasant, chukar and hungarian partridge. Professional guides and well-trained dogs offer a superb hunting experience.
Sporting Clays:
• At an additional cost guests can shoot a five-stand sporting clays course.
•Guns and ammo are available.
