Lago Verde Wilderness Resort is located in the heart of Los Alerces National Park. Enclosing an area of 263.000 hectares the park is located in the Chubut province, in the Patagonia Argentina. This park was created in 1937 with the aim of preserving the last remaining areas where one of the oldest trees on Earth, the Alerces or lahuan, can still be found.
The Park holds many lakes, big rivers and crystal water streams. Some of Patagonia’s finest waters are quite close to the lodge, such as the Rivadavia River, which is just minutes away. The Rivadavia, Arrayanes, Frei and Carrileufú Rivers, the Canal Spring Creek and the quiet waters of the Verde, Menéndez, Kruger and Futalaufquen Lakes are some of the prime waters to fish. Your individualized daily fishing programs may include the Esquel area with the Rio Grande, Arroyo Pescado and many other waters that are known worldwide.
Some of the most experienced guides of the country will be at your side awaiting to assist you with the just the right level of information and direction that you desire.

You will find Rainbows, Brown and Brook Trout as well as landlocked Atlantic salmon available to you in the area.
Season runs November 1st to April 30.

Besides Los Alerces National Park there are some interesting options to be considered such as visiting the Leleque museum, walking the streets of El Bolsón city, home of famous handcrafts, or going to the small town of Trevelin where a welsh tea house, built by the first european immigrants that came to the mountains, can be visited.
Los Alerces National Park is waiting for you, the forest, lakes and rivers can offer you as many opportunities as you can imagine or desire. We can drop you in an island for lunch or guide you through the forest, or… just let us know what you wish for and we will make it real.
Moon nights can be just spectacular. The air is so pure and clean that a night trekking is possible with no other than the moon light. And while the world as we know it goes to sleep a new one awakes, with its own shapes, colors and sounds. Walks under a bright moon are something you should not miss.
Evening is a special time. As the sun falls behind the mountains, the light turns blue and fades slowly into darkness. This is the time to either walk along the shore, sit in the deck and listen to the last birds sing or just share the day’s experience with your companions.
