The most popular two hand line sold in America. Skagit Compact heads can be described as a short floating shooting head sink tip system designed to be cast using almost any two hand rod. Fathered by Tom Larimer, Skagit compact heads allow beginners and advanced casters to easily throw super heavily leaded rabbit flies at the end of 10 to 15 feet of level T-14 sink tip with no problems. Skagit Compact heads are available in 30 grain increments from 360 grain (for a 4 or 5 weight Spey rod) to a 720 grain (for a 10 weight Spey rod) the Skagit Compact family of 12 sizes cast smoother than the competitions Skagit heads. Match the Skagit Compact with any of the Custom Cut Tips we offer and the 20 lb or 30 lb floating Ridge running line to make the easiest casting Skagit sink tip system money can buy. New for 2011 the line size will be printed on the front loop sleeve.
