Flamingo
For many years the best time to fish out of Flamingo has been June - August. September and October will be really good months for yellow fin tunas on the 200-plus pounds, with a good chance for sails and marlins as well.
Inshore Fishing
Flamingo Bay area is also well known for excellent light tackle fishing during all these months.
Rooster fish, Spanish mackerel, barracuda, snappers, groupers, Amberjack, wahoo and many more species you can find around the "Catalinas" and the "Bat Islands"
Quepos
Quepos, located in the mid-Pacific zone of our country, offers you the exciting combination of excellent fishing and lush green vegetation all year round.
Quepos is about a 3 - 4 1/2 hour drive from San José.
Prime Time
It is considered that the second half of December through the end of April to be the best time for sailfish and blue & striped marlin.
Quepos is the ideal place for Fly Fishing!
Los Suenos
Fishing out of Los Suenos Marina is good all year, been one of the best spot on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica near Jaco Beach.
Sailfish and Marlin are the main attraction, however inshore fishing can be really good for catching Roosterfish, Snapper & Mackerel.
At Los Suenos, anglers can easily mix tremendous fishing with some great golf days.
