The Sedanka River is a beautiful spring creek meandering for more than a 100 miles through lava flows, meadows, trees, and volcanoes. The river has abundant aquatic life making it a fish factory for large rainbows. Trout average 20"-22" with the occasional trout at 26"-28". It isn’t uncommon for an angler to catch 70+ rainbows in a day. Also there are white spotted char (Kunzha) and sea run Dolly Varden. There are four beautiful riverside camps located to provide the anglers with the best in fishing and comfort. On a two week trip, your group will spend three days fishing from each camp. On the one week trips, you will fish either the first 2 or second 2 camps These camps feature modern tents, hot showers, saunas, and use renovated trappers cabins that serve as small lodges. Anglers are housed comfortably two to a tent, giving you plenty of space to spread out and get yourself comfortable. Each tent is equipped with a wood stove, which will be stoked by one of the Russian staff each evening and morning. There is a cabin at each campsite, and no one else on the river. Meals offer a mix of local cuisine and imported fare. Wonderful salads and lovely kielbasa and cheese platters accompany each meal. Homemade soups are a specialty in Russia and are often a highlight of the culinary experience. Meals are wholesome and tend to be on the simple side.
