No-See-Um is a family-run operation that was established by Jack Holman in the early 70's. Today his son, John, who is both a pilot and a guide, maintains No-See-Um's well-earned reputation for pampering and pleasing its guests. Three hundred miles southwest of Anchorage Alaska is the world famous Bristol Bay watershed. Bristol Bay, an arm of the Bering Sea, is bounded on the south by the Alaskan Peninsula. The bay, about 250 miles long and 180 miles wide at the mouth, is shallow and well known for rich salmon fisheries.

In Alaska the water and weather conditions are always changing. Each day, with the help of No-See-Um’s guides, you choose the best options for that day's fishing. With an average of two guests to each guide you can be assured that no matter what your skill level or needs you will be accommodated. Each year they receive a wide variety of guests, from the experienced angler to the novice fisherman. For the past 25 years, No See Um has been perfecting the art of customer satisfaction by consistently striving to be the best fishing lodge in Alaska. Some people desire to feel the pull of a giant King Salmon on their line, while others prefer the excitement of casting a dry to a rising Rainbow.
New this year, No-See-Um will have a weekly scheduled charter flight between Anchorage and King Salmon. This will result in a better experience for you and improve operational efficiency. Some lost bags, missed and canceled flights, fog and missing cargo were experienced in the past with standard commercial flights. With this charter, No-See-Um will be able to deliver a much more controlled and pleasant overall trip.
The Monday morning flight out of Anchorage will depart at 9 am, check in one hour before, arriving King Salmon about 10:30. There will be an agent to check bags and ID's but no security check
The following Monday will entail a relaxed breakfast and lodge departure about 9:30am. Departure from King Salmon at about 11am, arriving back in Anchorage at 12:30pm.
Once on the ground in Anchorage you will collect your bags in 10-15 minutes and be on your way.
The lodge is built on a high bank overlooking the Kvichak River.
The guest houses have a total of six bedrooms, each equipped with two beds and a complete bathroom. A lounge with bar and wood stove enhance the comfortable setting.

Gourmet meals are prepared by a world class chef. No-See-Um will gladly accommodate any special needs with a little advance notice. Fresh breads, rolls and desserts are prepared daily in the bakery. Select red and white wines are served with dinner. Electricity is available 24 hours a day, as is telephone and Internet access. Nightly activities include fishing (right in front of the lodge), horseshoes, volleyball, cards, satellite TV, and internet access.
After a full day of fishing, you are encouraged to enjoy the relaxing and friendly atmosphere at the lodge while sipping a beverage and sampling delicious appetizers before dinner.
Being on the Kvichak gives you the option to fish right at the lodge using one of the inboard jet boats and the ability to go out if weather were to prohibit flying. With the fleet of three Beavers, you can access over 30 rivers and streams for world class trout, char, grayling and all five species of salmon at different times. While the majority of the fishing done at No-See-Um is for trout, you do have the opportunity to spend as much time as you desire going after salmon. There are boats located on both the Nushigak and Alagnak rivers that provide for incredible Chinook or King salmon fishing, and quite possibly the best chum fishing on the planet. Silver salmon are caught on the Kvichak and several fly-in rivers.
2013 rate for June is $7700 per week from Anchorage.
2013 July-October is $8700 per week from Anchorage.
These ratse includes 6.5 days of fishin, ground trip airfare from Anchorage to King Salmon, all flies and other terminal tackle, daily guided fly-out fishing or local fishing if weather requires it.
Rate do not include Fishing License or any required stamps.
