Trout Chasers River Company Ltd. is owned and operated by Dee & Sherri Chatani. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada offering guided fly fishing float trips on the lower Bow. In 1998 they officially incorporated the company, although their experience on the river dates back to the early 80's. Dee began fly fishing the Bow River in 1978 and in 1988 he began guiding anglers full time.
Trout Chasers keeps your comfort and safety in mind by using McKenzie style drift boats. There is ample room for two anglers and plenty of dry storage for all your gear. The guides are experienced local anglers, able to both instruct the novice, and challenge the most experienced fly fisher.

The Section of the Bow River flowing between Calgary and the Carsland Weir supports one of the World's Greatest Trout Fisheries. The fishery is a self sustaining population of truly exceptional wild Rainbow and Brown trout. The fact that this trout river runs directly through the center of a city with a population of one million, amazes most Calgary visitors.
The primary angling season on the Bow occurs from mid April to mid October. Spring run-off from the nearby Rocky Mountains will sometimes temporarily interrupt the fishing around early June.
Over the past few years the Bow has consistently produced trout averaging 18 inches. Hooking fish 20 - 24 inches is a common occurrence. Anglers who spend several days on the river have a realistic opportunity to land trout in the 24 - 30 inch range.
One section of river that Trout Chasers operates on, which is the Blue Ribbon Section, begins as the Bow bids farewell to the City of Calgary. Here guests are welcomed with 50 miles of unsurpassed fly fishing. Private access points ensure that encounters with other boats and anglers are kept to a minimum, enhancing your Bow River experience.
Trout Chasers also offer a Bow River Experience that begins a few miles downstream of the Carseland Weir. Here the river flows through the SikSika Indian Reserve where there is no public land access.
You will be fishing from a jet boat, set up with knee braces and oars, to float downriver, well into the Reserve. Guests are able to fish from the boat as they would in a drift boat. The jet motor is used at the end of the day to return back upriver. Due to the limited access, this stretch of river does not receive a lot of angling pressure. As a result, the trout are exceptionally cooperative.
