From bonito to marlin, skipjack to yellowfin tuna, jack cravelle and ladyfish, there are approximately 20 species of bluewater speedsters on hand to keep things interesting… Very interesting!

Roosterfish or “pez gallo” are unique to the tropical Pacific. These fish are found inshore near the sandy beaches. T hey are the predators of the surf and can grow to over 100 pounds. January through September.

Cabo San Lucas is the acknowledged striped marlin capital of the world. These super-charged rockets weigh from 50 to 300 pounds, averaging 125. Year around, best January to August.

The dorado is a fast-growing fish, running from 5- to 70-pounds. Your average dorado will weigh 10- to 20-pounds. June through January.

Pacific jack crevalle, found in schools close to shore, is quite possibly the most neglected of all the Pacific sportfish. They will readily eat a fly and the resulting battle can last a long time. January through July.

The average size yellowfin tuna will weigh 8 to 30 pounds. July through December.
 

Your Cabo San Lucas fishing charter begins when you depart the marina around 6:30 AM, returning 8 hours later. You will want to plan on arriving at the Capt. Tony's restaurant to meet your captain 15 minutes early so that you can go over your fly fishing or light tackle needs of the day.

Baja Anglers Charter Boats use custom built, 26 ft., ocean catamarans powered by twin 4 stroke engines that are quiet, fume free and powerful. These are safe and soft riding cats which are engineered to handle all sea conditions and have your safety, comfort and fishing convenience built in. You will find clear casting areas fore and aft, T-tops for shade and enclosed head for the ladies aboard.
 

Full day rate (8 hours) is $600.00 day plus 11% tax per boat for up to two people fishing. Additional anglers are surcharged at $50 each--4 anglers max. Full days should be reserved in advance.

Partial day trips are often available for morning and/or afternoon. The 5 hour day rate is $420 plus 11% tax for one to two people.
Extra anglers are $25 each, with 4 max.

Local trips around Cabo are available for both fly and spin gear. These trips are fun targeting roosterfish, jacks, sierra mackerel and snappers off the Pacific beach and the beaches around San Jose del Cabo. Daily trips cost $250 plus tax for 4 to 5 hour trips. Price for two includes water, soft drinks, and transportation from town.

East Cape Roosterfish Safaris: This is the ultimate fun for chasing roosterfish all over the east cape from La Paz to San Jose Del Cabo.. Go where the fish are! This is more like a seminar on how to beach fish. Your guide will work with you on casting, stalking, retrieves, fly tying, leader making; all the fun stuff you can only learn by being with a professional for an entire week... You will stay in Los Barrlies in a nice inexpensive clean hotel and go fishing north or south, depending on the bite and fishing conditions.. Cost is $500 day plus the cost of hotel.
