Rainbow River Lodge

Rainbow River Lodge

Rainbow River Lodge is Strategically located in the wilderness of lake Iliamna, located in the heart of Alaska’s world-renowned wild rainbow trout and salmon fisheries. The premier fly fishing rivers of Bristol Bay, Lake Iliamna and the Katmai Wilderness watershed are just minutes away from the lodge front door in our two custom equipped DeHavilland Beavers. The Copper River, one of Alaska’s finest “Fly-fishing only” rivers is our home river for anglers visiting Rainbow River Lodge. To insure personalized service, for which Rainbow River Lodge is well known for, the lodge limits the number of guests to 10 per week. With a staff of 12, you are insured that your personal needs will be met. Rainbow River Lodge fishing guides are experts in the angling techniques that insure success for all guests. Their knowledge of local waters along with their ability to share their expertise, make even the most amateur fishermen feel right at home. Accommodations at Rainbow River Lodge combine wilderness adventure surrounded by luxury. Each cabin is wrapped in cedar inside and out. A slate entry, maple hardwood floors and hand crafted aspen log furniture is just the beginning of what makes Rainbow River Lodge cabins the finest in Southwest Alaska. The spacious main lodge is a Lyndal Log Lodge with a 36-foot cathedral ceiling. It is common to view feeding brown bears and soaring eagles while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the lounge or while dining. Each day the professional kitchen staff produces a world-famous fare that is presented in ways not imaginable in the wilderness of Alaska.
